The site and the problem
The previous pergola offered only partial shelter. The homeowner wanted a more enclosed entertaining area while retaining daylight and a connection to the backyard.

What the client needed
- Convert the existing outdoor area into a sunroom.
- Work with the two adjoining house walls.
- Provide adjustable shade at ceiling level.
Design and installation approach
The enclosure follows the available area against the home. This arrangement defines a more sheltered room beside the backyard.
Retractable honeycomb ceiling blinds let the owner vary overhead shade and glare. Their position can change with the light; the case does not include measured indoor-temperature results.
The result
The old pergola area is now an enclosed sunroom with adjustable ceiling shading. It offers a more protected setting for everyday use and entertaining.
