| Previous screening | Temporary fabric wind screens |
| Frame | Heavy-duty aluminium |
| Glazing | 5+15A+5 double-glazed toughened glass |
The site and the problem
The old fabric screens had become worn and required repeated replacement. The facility wanted a more durable enclosure around its outdoor entertaining area while managing the project budget.
What the client needed
- Replace temporary fabric screening.
- Keep the resident area bright.
- Use a permanent framed glazing system.
Design and installation approach
An aluminium framework encloses the existing outdoor area with double-glazed toughened glass. The clear glazing retains light and views while replacing the flexible fabric screens.
The recorded glazing build-up is 5+15A+5. The project description does not include tested acoustic or thermal ratings, so no numerical performance claim is made here.
The result
The shared area now has a framed glass perimeter in place of temporary screening. The finished enclosure retains a bright outlook for the facility’s outdoor entertaining space.
